Employee Weight Loss Challenge

The health system I'm spending most of my time with currently is hosting an Employee Weight Loss Challenge. They have really gone all out, hiring nutritionist, personal trainers, etc..., for the employees involved in the program. They had over 100 applicants, and they were only able to pick 12. Right now, the organization is trying to lose 2009 lbs in 2009, and the staff has already pledged to lose over 4,000 lbs!

I *love* that employers are encouraging their employees to live healthier lives. It shows a real care, concern and investment to the employees, and it can also reduce leaves of absense and medical bills! It's definitely a win/win. The cafeteria here posts the nutrition information for all the meals. I think that is just fantastic.

That is a great idea and other companies / hospitals should follow suit for sure.

Jack and Ben were very excited to get the postcards - that was very sweet! I liked the pictures you drew for Ben to help him "read."

What a fun environment. I am doing the same thing at TJ, Inc, although it is just a company of one.
